    Join us in this hour and learn about the applications of ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

    Discussion will include:

    - The use of ultrasound as a noninvasive modality to diagnose soft tissue injury and monitor progress of healing of conditions including tendonitis, joint disease, and muscle tears
    - The use of diagnostic ultrasound to aid in differentiating between acute, active disease from an exacerbation of a chronic condition
    - The utility of diagnostic ultrasound in helping to formulate a precise treatment plan for patients

    - The use of therapeutic ultrasound as a modality to alleviate pain. Discussion will include: how it works, indications and contraindications for therapeutic ultrasound, and how it can facilitate delivery and transport of topically applied medications to target tissues.
