Dr. Dan Carmichael, a native of Ithaca, NY, graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, and after completing a six-year residency program received his Board Certification in The American Veterinary Dental College.
For six years prior to his arriving in his current position at The Veterinary Medical Center in Long Island, Dr. Carmichael had been head of the Dentistry Service at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan, where he can still be found on Mondays. He has published numerous scientific papers and has lectured extensively on the subject of Veterinary Dentistry. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Carmichael periodically volunteers his services at the Bronx Zoo. Dr. Carmichael also contributes the “Dental Corner” for Veterinary Medicine magazine.
Dr. Carmichael lives in Babylon, NY with his wife Peggy and son Tommy and enjoys skiing and fly-fishing in his spare time.
