Brief Bio (include professional interests, hobbies, etc.): I am a Compassion Fatigue Coach, Medical Writer, and Clinical Veterinarian. I practice once a week at a vaccination and preventative care clinic for dogs and cats. My primary focus is helping healthcare workers continue to practice the profession they love with compassion. I do this by a) helping them improve their wellbeing and resilience and b) making presentations at their workplace or professional organization. I am certified as a Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP) and Missouri Recovery Support Specialist – Peer (MRSS-P) with 20 years of work in the recovery field and 25 years of continuous personal recovery from substance use disorder. For over 20 years I have worked as a Monthly Monitoring Group Leader for a non-profit, confidential organization that monitors health-care professionals, such as chiropractors, dentists, and nurses, recovering from addiction or other impairment. I also practice veterinary medicine part-time and work as a medical writer.
