Question submitted by the audience in our recent webinar: What’s Feeding Those Seizures? An Update On Refractory Canine Epilepsy And The Potential Link to Gastrointestinal Health:
Where does hemp CB's come into this therapy?
Answer by: Karen R. Muñana, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Neurology)
Hemp contains cannabidiol (CBD), the chemical that has been shown to have antiseizure properties in experimental studies. As I mentioned in the webinar, there is no evidence to support its use in dogs with epilepsy at the present time.
