One of the attendees in last night's webinar asked this question in the chat box:
I have a cat with deformed screw tail. Approximately 50% of the time she grooms, she will go after her right hind leg. Similar to the tail biting. It is not intense, it can be interrupted, and no injury (unless interrupted by hand!). Her last bloodwork showed she is borderline hyperthyroid. If she becomes hyperthyroid, it is possible the behavior will intensify?
Thanks for joining us last night! Yes, but also, I would be concerned that she's having some pain and that's causing her to go after her right hind leg, especially with the deformed tail.
Let us know what happens with her!
