What are we seeing in the genetics of dogs with GRPU? If parents are clear, will the pups be clear?

Usually in the pedigrees that I have examined, dogs that develop GRPU have PU in their pedigrees if the dogs are being examined yearly as they get older. If the last exams were done when the dog was say 4-6 years of age and they were clear, you could have a false sense of security because they aren’t being checked as they get older which is when we see PU develop.
