  Is there any effect of sex (or neuter status) on the risk for separation anxiety in pets?  Also, is there any effect on whether the attachment figure (owner) is male or female?

  Hi there,

  Sex and neuter status of affected patients varies depending on the study.

  I'm not aware of any definitive research on effect of the owner being male or female.
