Does excitement stimulate scratching and itching?

Some dogs do seem to have increased severity of itching when they are stressed, excited or anxious. Most of these dogs have underlying allergic dermatitis. Sometimes, aside from the array of treatments for allergies that we have, these dogs may benefit from anxiolytic agents – discuss this with your veterinarian.
