We can’t answer this entirely accurately. There is evidence that some cancers are increasing, like prostate cancer. Certainly we know that age is a risk factor for cancer so our better health care and nutrition making our dogs live longer is also allowing more cancer to appear. Our surveillance is not as good as human cancer registries, so we can’t be sure of the specific rates of many cancers.
